Angel-Stardust   Puter-School    Krisy Jo's Poems

Kristy Jo wrote, dedicated and read the poem at the funeral of a 16 year old who had hung herself. Her mother is a very close friend of Kristy Jo's for years and she had asked that the poem to express to the other kids how serious suicide is.

Andrea

Andrea's Gift

It seems we're in the days that God has called the last.
The signs are all around us-the time is mounting fast.
People love themselves more than they love God.
So many are ungrateful as on their path they trod.

We treat each other cruelly with words that pierce the heart.
We do not love each other like God intended from the start.
His word tells us clearly the love of many will grow cold,
That wickedness will rise as we see His plan unfold.

Satan is a liar. He's convinced some there's no hope.
He'd like them to believe that there's just no way to cope.
He'd like for us to think that God's not on the throne.
He'd like us to believe that we are out there on our own.

His plan is to destroy as many as will heed,
By causing them to think that selfishness will meet their need.
He is masquerading as an angel of the light,
Causing good to look like evil and wrong to seem like right.

If Andrea could talk to us from where she is today;
She's say without a fleeing doubt that Jesus is the way.
For sure she'd say she's sorry for leaving like she did.
For now she knows with deep regret she should have stuck it out instead.

She'd tell us with great urgency to give our lives to Christ,
To take His gift of life for which He paid the price.
She's joyously express to us that Jesus is most real.
That we should live our lives by faith and not by how we feel.

She knows that love's the only way to walk the path of life.
To let go of our hatred, our bitterness and strife.
We must freely give our loves and let His mercy flow,
Like He did upon the cross so many years ago.

We need to turn to Jesus with all our pain and grief,
And He will lift the burden and give us sweet relief.
He knows our every secret, He takes note of every tear.
He loves us so completely, He yearns to take away our fear.

Give Andrea's death some meaning, don't let her die in vain.
Learn from her mistake and let her death be your gain.
Accept the Lord's forgiveness, His mercy and His peace.
As new life pours within you, your pain and strife will cease.
